INSPIRATIONAL FIGURES SUPPORTING STUDENTS & YOUNG PEOPLE
To both raise awareness and support students, British Sporting Icons and Mental Health Ambassadors are joining us to inspire, encourage and thank teams taking on their Row Britannia Challenge. They understand mental health, fitness and wellbeing and are lending their voices to our UK-wide campaign.
These inspirational figures include Olympians, Paralympians, Invictus Games Ambassadors, Adventurers, Explorers, Iconic Personalities and Mental Health Ambassadors.
VISITS TO UNIVERSITIES & COLLEGES
Universities and colleges have been asked to host the Row Britannia Team and our Icons and Ambassadors are choosing a location that they studied at, have a connection with or are keen to visit.
There are approximately 450 universities and colleges in the UK, so we have planned routes around Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the 9 Regions of England.
Host universities and colleges have been asked to invite their local colleges to join them on the day we will visit so that British Sporting Icons and Mental Health Ambassadors can meet and thank the 450 organisations, at over 200 locations in 100 days, between 12th November 2019 and 13th March 2020.
We have asked Sporting Governing Bodies to partner with us and they are agreeing to invite and encourage their British Sporting Icons to choose a venue to visit.
We have engaged with and are partnering with the following Sporting Governing Bodies;
British Olympic Association
British Olympic Association Athletes’ Commission
British Paralympic Association
British Paralympic Association Athletes’ Commission
British Olympic Foundation
Invictus Games UK Ambassadors
Royal Yachting Association (RYA)
Scottish Sports Association
